The General Practitioner fly was created by Mr. Esmond Drury in 1953.

Dubbed GP for short as it was mostly tied with Golden Pheasant feathers, this prawn pattern proved to be very effective for salmon on the River Test. I have personally fished variations of this fly in both the inshore salt and freshwater. The effectiveness and the versatility of this fly is why it is my favorite pattern to fish. The history and traditions of this fly have had a major influence on fly fishing as a whole.  My model for business is to be effective and versatile while representing some of the most historic and influential brands in the industry.
